A two day conference for practitioners and developers of e-Assessment

About

Now in its 12th year, there are numerous reasons why the CAA Conference is increasingly popular. These include the wide acceptance and implementation of Virtual Learning Environments and associated tools as the primary vehicle for teaching content delivery within many student portals. The growing importance of standards, not least Question and Test Interoperability (QTI) has had significant impact. Awarding Bodies and service providers are now delivering millions of E-assessments a year and this trend is increasing. The QCA vision statement (http://www.qca.org.uk/7192.html) is a significant driver for E-assessment uptake in the schools and post 16 sector. This sits within the familiar background of increasing student numbers and the need for effective strategies to manage and improve the learning and assessment process for inclusion, widening participation and accessibility. Exploiting overseas markets through effective assessment for distance learners is a further driver.

This conference web site hosts a wealth of information regarding research into e-assessment including an archive of all our previous events including an online version of the refereed proceedings, as well as an image archive of our event.

In the past the conference has partnered with ALT-J (the Journal of the Association of Learning Technologists) and most recently the journal AEHE (Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education).

The conference is relevant to those with an interest in implementation and pedagogy, the more technically minded, and those involved at a strategic level such as policy makers, managers and support services.

Consistently positive delegate feedback has led us to hold the event at Burleigh Court, UK, with access to all of its leisure facilities.

We also offer a competitive commercial sponsorship package.

If you would like to take part as a Delegate, Speaker, Commercial Sponsor, Advisory Board Member or have any suggestions or queries please contact us at: caa-conf@lboro.ac.uk
