A two day conference for practitioners and developers of e-Assessment

Submissions

12th CAA Conference

Deadlines for submissions
29th February 2008: Submission of proposals
(full papers, short paper abstracts)
7th April 2008: Notification of acceptance
16th May 2008: Submission of full and short papers

We accept proposals for short and long papers. The difference between the two is in academic content, quality and rigour only. Both should be of sufficient length and we suggest a guideline of 2500 – 4000 words.

Short papers are works in progress and though they should be significantly advanced, referenced and follow sound methodology, they may be incomplete works. The idea being that authors use the conference to air their work and receive feedback to enable judgements to be taken on progress to date and how things may be taken forward in future.

Long papers should be completed works of a suitable academic standard.

Proposals are subject to a double blind review process, scored and detailed feedback is given to the authors. This will take place in the first quarter of 2008. Accepted submissions must then rewrite taking account of reviewer feedback with final submissions in late May 2008 for publication in the Book of Proceedings prior to the event. We reserve the right to edit accepted submissions in order to meet corporate styles.

Please follow the following two steps.

  1. Read our Guidelines for Authoring, which includes key conference themes, and then
  2. download and use our Conference Word Template.

All proposals should be submitted to the conference organiser: Janet Goold, caa-conf@lboro.ac.uk
